dance. comedy. period.
breaking taboos on women’s bodies through comedy and dance.
My performance pieces are a mix of dance, comedy, and storytelling, on themes that range from menstruation, sexuality, dating, self-discovery, and reinvention.
My latest solo show “Hungry Eyes Ovaries” is the love child of Dirty Dancing and Bill Nye the Science Guy, combining dance, comedy, and biology, to illustrate the changing hormonal patterns of the menstrual cycle -- and help all of us feel more at ease in our bodies. From period talk to pubic hair to relatable dating woes, this unique blend of education and entertainment will have audiences of all ages inspired and informed.
This piece has been performed at varying venues like: The Society for Menstrual Cycle Research conference, Colorado College, the New York Comedy Club, and The Vagina Monologues’ opening act, as well as various picnic tables and open mic venues I find in my travels.
“It was a joy watching you work. The future of a different [and healthier] menstrual reality depends on innovations like yours….thank you!”
